Financial & Cost Analyst

Very reputable, award winning manufacturing company with is seeking a Sr. Cost Accountant / Financial Analyst for an immediate need. This position is going to be a blend of Accounting and Financial Analysis.

Highlights:

• Salary - $85,000 - $95,000 + Bonus
• 2-3 years of accounting and finance
• Cost Accounting experience is a must
• Manufacturing experience is a must.

Responsibilities:

• Financial planning and analysis including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and P&L analysis.
• Post Journal entries and perform account reconciliations
• Reviews, analyzes, and reports monthly manufacturing variances and plant expenses that can significantly impact job costing such as raw material, and cost of production labor.
• Cross functional development of departmental budgets including reviews, analysis & periodic reporting of key metrics.
• Assists internal and external auditors on facility audits.
• Inventory accounting and analysis
• Evaluate and analyze capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, financial statements, etc.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience in the field or in a related field
• Familiarity with financial programs and software
• Basic understanding of principles of finance
