The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate should include the following:

  • Operate both CO₂ and Fiber flat sheet metal cutting lasers to produce high-precision, low-volume fabrications
  • Perform independent machine setups and make real-time adjustments to ensure a flawless, quality cut
  • Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and blueprints to confirm exact project specifications
  • Utilize pin gauges, calipers, and other precision measurement devices to verify part dimensions and maintain ISO standards
  • Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to load and unload sheet metal and position materials for cutting
  • Follow detailed instructions from area supervisors while working collaboratively in a team-oriented shop environment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area according to 5S or similar lean manufacturing principles

 

The background of the successful candidate must include the following:

  • 5+ years of professional experience operating industrial laser cutting machines
  • Proven ability to perform complex machine setups and troubleshoot laser adjustments independently
  • Strong proficiency in reading detailed technical drawings and utilizing precision measuring tools
  • A reliable and consistent work history; attendance is critical to the success of this 2nd shift team
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain active in a manufacturing setting
  • Previous experience with Amada equipment and industrial material handling (cranes/forklifts) is highly desirable
  • US citizenship or Green Card status with a residence within a 45-minute drive of West Bend
