A highly regarded legal team is seeking a junior associate (1-2 years of experience) to join its Employment & Labor practice in the Reston, VA, or Washington, DC offices. This role focuses on employment counseling, compliance, and transactional support within a fast-paced environment.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on employment laws, regulatory compliance, and workplace policies
  • Draft and negotiate executive employment and separation agreements
  • Provide counsel on the employment aspects of M&A transactions
  • Assist with litigation matters and affirmative action planning as needed
  • Work collaboratively within a dynamic team to support client needs

 

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in employment counseling, compliance, or transactional work
  • Strong understanding of employment agreements and regulatory requirements
  • Litigation and/or affirmative action planning experience is a plus
  • Excellent legal writing, communication, and analytical skills
  • Strong academic credentials from a recognized law school

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary ($225,000 - $235,000) based on experience and location
