The Electro-Mechanic will be responsible for daily maintenance and non-routine maintenance of equipment and facility. The position will be required to perform any and all maintenance activities for both electrical and mechanical systems. Assists equipment Operators and Mechanics in the operation and troubleshooting of plant equipment and systems. The position will also be required to perform and support any and all project installation and start-up throughout the plant on an as needed basis.
1) Electrical:
a) Basic knowledge of PLC programming.
b) Fundamental knowledge of Electrical power - voltages, amps etc.
c) Read schematic drawings and installing electrical equipment as per the schematic.
d) Calibrate drives and equipment such as meters, temperature controllers, level controllers and Servo
controllers.
e) Test, repair electrical systems and devices, such as motors, switches, solenoids, etc. Run conduit and pull wire as necessary.
2) Mechanical:
a) Be able to do Welding, operate TIG/MIG/Plasma cutters, Grinders, Drills, and basic machining.
b) Carry out Pipe Fabrication and layout as per drawings
c) Understand and repair mechanical equipment such as (but not limited to):
i) Pumps, seals (including mechanical seals)
ii) Hydraulic operated machines
iii) Gearboxes
iv) Valves, air compressors, boilers, associated support equipment.
d) Should have fundamental knowledge of lubricating oils and greases.
