  • opportunity for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. The position will be focused primarily on the NCDOT Transportation market. The position is available in our sole Charlotte, North Carolina office but we offer the ability to work remotely.
    CG2's Geotechnical Engineering Services Include:
    • Subsurface investigations
    • Laboratory testing
    • Seismic analyses
    • Embankment settlement and stability analyses
    • Reinforced earth structure analyses and design
    • Foundation analyses and design
    • Ground improvement analyses and design
    • Report preparation
    Responsibilities:
    • The candidate will be involved in all phases of a project including business development, proposal preparation, managing and/or performing field engineering, engineering analysis, report writing, consultation, invoice preparation, and client contact and correspondence.
    • Provide oversight in the planning and execution of field exploration and laboratory testing programs.
    • Technical analysis and reporting.
    • Providing consultation/evaluation for field-related concerns
    • Client interaction and performing project management duties
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
    • Master’s Degree with a focus in Geotechnical Engineering preferred
    • NC PE preferred
    • 11+ years of relevant experience on transportation projects
    • Experience with NCDOT and/or SCDOT preferred
    • Displays strong technical skills in soil mechanics and geotechnical analyses and design
    • Display experience with soft ground and high seismic geology
    • Must possess intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office and relevant technical software required, gINT and MicroStation/ORD are preferred), including the ability to learn various types of company/client software
    • Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: From $100,000.00 per year to 145000
