We have an exciting role for an experienced SolidWorks PDM consultant to support a data assessment and migration initiative involving a transition from SolidWorks PDM to Siemens Teamcenter. This is a part-time, contract-based role focused on evaluating, cleaning, and preparing engineering data for a successful PLM migration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing data stored in SolidWorks PDM, including parts, assemblies, drawings, and metadata

  • Review vault organization and underlying database structures

  • Contribute to the design and development of a custom data assessment and cleanup tool

  • Recommend best practices for PDM data cleanup and migration readiness

  • Define logic and rules for identifying duplicates, missing metadata, and incomplete or inconsistent datasets

  • Collaborate closely with technical and development teams throughout the project

Required Qualifications

  • Deep hands-on experience with SolidWorks PDM Professional (vaults, workflows, metadata, configurations)

  • Strong understanding of SolidWorks CAD data (parts, assemblies, drawings)

  • Knowledge of PDM SQL database schema, reporting, and custom queries

  • Experience supporting data migration or integration into PLM systems (Teamcenter experience preferred)

  • Ability to collaborate with developers on tooling solutions (Python or .NET experience is a plus)
