Senior Construction Manager (Power Plant & Data Center)

Overview:

My client is seeking highly skilled Senior Construction Managers to oversee the execution of large-scale industrial projects. This pivotal role requires a dynamic leader who excels in transforming project plans into practical, on-site achievements while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• On-Site Leadership: Direct and manage field operations by mentoring Project Superintendents, setting clear daily and weekly targets, and driving schedule adherence and labor productivity.
• Technical Expertise: Serve as the on-site Subject Matter Expert, interpreting complex technical documents and resolving constructability issues in collaboration with engineering and quality control teams.
• Trade Management: Oversee multi-trade operations, ensuring coordination among civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical partners, and enforce accountability regarding safety, quality, and schedule commitments.
• Safety & Quality: Champion a zero-injury safety culture and oversee quality control to ensure the work meets specifications and minimizes rework.
• Progress Tracking: Monitor project schedules and validate field progress using software tools such as Procore to maintain accurate records of daily activities.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 12–15 years in heavy industrial or commercial construction, with at least 5 years in senior field leadership roles.
• Sector Expertise: Proven success in managing complex, fast-paced projects, particularly in mission-critical facilities or data centers.
• Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and mentoring ability, with a track record of managing large teams and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Technical Mastery: Expert knowledge of construction means, methods, and systems, with proficiency in reading architectural and MEP drawings and using field-level software.
• Skills: Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to thrive under pressure and deliver results.
