We are collaborating with the client to identify a Scrum Master to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

 

Scrum Master Job Description

We are currently seeking a Scrum Master with effective communication and organizational skills. In this role, you will engage with executive stakeholders and key project team members. In addition, this role will be responsible for improving existing relationships between multiple teams, as well as building positive relationships as new teams are formed. 

Scrum Master Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Create test cases and test strategies for defects and enhancements.
  • Triage and test defects and enhancements.
  • Provide mitigation plans (Business Impact and Workarounds).
  • File and Database Validation.
  • Individually meet and work with management, program staff and test teams to determine enhancement and defect testing needs.
  • Evaluate and analyze requests for enhancements or development projects of a highly complex nature.
  • Obtain thorough understanding of client needs and communicate those to the appropriate teams and organizations.
  • Lead projects from requirements gathering and through implementation.
  • Provide transparency into the status of each phase of the project.
  • Provide visibility into each team members’ project responsibilities, as well as their ongoing contributions to the project.
  • Prepare and facilitate key project meetings.
  • Define, measure and report success metrics.
  • Manage each phase of the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, scope, and cost.
  • Support communication efforts across all teams

Scrum Master Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Project Management (Preferred).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Scrum Master role (Required).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in writing user stories (Required).
  • Expeirence working with Medicaid is a must.
  • Experience working in a consulting environment is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics.
  • Able to work collaboratively with and through others.
  • Ability to work with difficult dynamics across multiple teams.
  • Ability to implement a system of providing transparency into projects.
  • Experience and knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles.

·       Must be proficient in current and future technologies including but not limited to Chef, Puppet Ansible, Salt, etc. and experience working with the United States Web Design System (USWDS) frameworks.

  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.

·       Scrum Master Certification (Required).

·       Experience and knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, etc.).
