Scope:  The responsibility will be to provide customers with maintenance and repair assistance on location or by telephone.  They will establish and build exemplary communication and customer service relationships with customers and distributors.  The individual manages difficult customer situations in a positive manner, responds promptly to customer needs, and solicits customer feedback to improve service.

Detailed Job Description:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair and maintain machine tool equipment and tools
  • Perform mechanical repairs (and rebuild) on machines
  • Identify and replace parts as necessary
  • Use machine tool manuals and technical documents to research machine issues
  • Work based on a sense of urgency with machine down conditions
  • Create and update documentation of technical information
  • General facilities maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving history
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals
  • Knowledge of CNC machine design and operation
  • Experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC machine tools (large machinery, mechanical geometry, and alignment)
  • Experience working with 5-axis machines, Siemens, Heidenhain, and Fanuc controls are a PLUS
