As a Plant Electrical Engineer, you will focus on overseeing and executing electrical systems design, installation, and maintenance within our facilities.  The Plant Electrical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of all aspects of electrical systems to the facility.  Work to improve and maintain projects while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.  The Plant Electrical Engineer will report to the Plant & Industrial Engineering Manager.

 

 Must be U.S. citizen due to government contracts

What you will be doing:

·         Electrical Equipment Design & Implementation: Lead the design, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment within the facility including selection and specification of electrical components for capital investment projects.

·         Project Management: Oversee the planning, budgeting, and execution of electrical engineering projects related to facility improvements, expansions, and maintenance. Manage project schedules and coordinate tasks between internal teams and contractors.

·         SCADA System Expansion & Integration: Plan and execute the expansion of the facility’s SCADA system, ensuring integration with new and existing electrical systems. Work with automation and IT teams to enhance system functionality, improve monitoring capabilities, and ensure real-time data tracking for facility operations.

·         Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring they meet quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints for electrical systems installation and maintenance projects.

·         Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all electrical projects comply with local, state, and national electrical codes, regulations (e.g., NEC), and environmental health and safety standards. Conduct safety audits and inspections for electrical systems.

·         Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Provide troubleshooting support for our electrical maintenance team within the facility and oversee the implementation of predictive maintenance programs to improve system reliability and minimize downtime.

 

 What they are looking for:

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities engineering with an emphasis on electrical systems design, installation, and maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proven experience in the design, implementation, and expansion of SCADA systems, including integration with electrical and automation systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations
  • Experience in managing budgets, schedules, and resources
