Senior Boiler Technician (Seattle Metro)

We’re seeking a Senior Boiler Technician in Seattle Metro to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of high-pressure steam systems.

Impact

  • Keep boiler systems running safely and within code.

  • Deliver steady steam output for essential building operations.

  • Improve system efficiency through precision combustion tuning.

  • Support full compliance with safety, emissions, and inspection standards.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor high-pressure boilers and related equipment.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on burners, pumps, and controls.

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control issues.

  • Adjust combustion settings for performance and compliance.

  • Log all maintenance and system operations.

  • Manage water chemistry and perform scheduled blowdowns.

  • Follow LOTO, OSHA, and site-specific safety procedures.

  • Assist with inspections and third-party vendor coordination.

Requirements
Must-Haves:

  • 5+ years working with high-pressure steam boilers (Cleaver-Brooks, Miura, Raypak, Babcock & Wilcox).

  • Solid knowledge of boiler controls, combustion systems, and ASME codes.

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Strong troubleshooting and repair experience.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • EPA 608 Universal Certification.

  • OSHA 30-hour safety certification.

  • Technical training in HVAC or mechanical systems.

  • Experience with boiler management or building automation systems.

Compensation & Logistics
Competitive salary depending on experience; benefits include health insurance, PTO, paid holidays, and more. This full-time position is based in the Seattle Metro area and may involve limited local travel.
