Job Summary:

Responsible for providing support for the overall road racing program, including the U.S. Majors Tour, National Championship Runoffs and local racing initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

®    Assist the Director of Road Racing in the formation of department event operational goals and the supporting strategies and tactics.

®    Assist Director of Road Racing as needed in daily operations of Road Racing Program.

®    Assist Regions and individual members with Road Racing Program processes and procedures.

®    Schedule meetings, webinars, events in support of the Road Racing Volunteer Committees and Field Staff.

®    Serve as staff liaison to the Executive Stewards and Divisional Administrator Coordinators, providing support, materials and regular conference calls.

®    Assist with Road Racing Accredited Driver School Program, maintaining contracts, invoicing, and administrative activities.

®    Assist the Director of Road Racing with the U.S. Majors Tour and Hoosier Super Tour series.

®    Manage the processing, uploading and auditing of U.S. Majors Tour points and Regional participation records.

®    Perform general event operational functions for the Runoffs® including:

o   Website posting of Runoffs information for the event

o   Event entry processing for drivers and volunteers

o   Manage vendor registrations and assignments

o   Develop and run event reports

o   Develop event materials and other items as necessary in cooperation with Marketing Dept

o   Non-racing aspects of event, including social event enhancements

o   Assist with post-event recaps

®    Prepare data reports and charts for department analysis, as needed.

®    Assist with management and response of the Road Racing Department general e-mail and phone messaging systems.

®    Performs other related duties as required.

Experience and Training

®    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

®    Experience in customer service

®    High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat and Web-based applications.

®    Familiarity with Sports Car Club of America, motorsports and membership-based organizations are all beneficial

Travel Requirements

®    This position requires occasional travel to race facilities across the United States (2-4 times per year).

®    Attendance at National Championship Runoffs (11-13-day trip)
