Join a transformative initiative in nursing education as our new Dean of BSN, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare in Albuquerque, NM. This position is integral to fostering partnerships with local facilities, enhancing nursing education, and positively impacting the community through academic excellence and healthcare innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage instructional and administrative activities for the Workforce Development site.
  • Supervise nursing program activities, ensuring compliance with Board and accreditor standards.
  • Collaborate with the Dean of Workforce Development on project implementation and program development.
  • Oversee faculty and staff, clinical site engagements, curriculum implementation, and program policies.
  • Prepare and maintain required documentation for state and Board reporting.
  • Facilitate the recruitment, admission, and orientation of nursing students.
  • Serve as a primary contact for clinical site operations, coordinating with partners and managing clinical evaluations and rotations.
  • Engage in teaching activities and strategic planning to enhance program quality.

Clinical and Faculty Engagement:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clinical sites to ensure they meet educational objectives and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with clinical partners and faculty to align student and faculty assignments with program goals.
  • Participate in clinical consortiums and ensure timely completion of evaluations and reports.

Student Support:

  • Develop skills lab and clinical site orientations in collaboration with faculty and partners.
  • Advise students, providing academic support and participating in national NCLEX success initiatives.
  • Lead at-risk student meetings and ensure graduation and licensing requirements are met.

Qualifications:

  • Valid and clear California Registered Nursing License or equivalent state license.
  • Master’s or higher degree in nursing, education, or administration from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum one year of teaching experience in pre- or post-licensure nursing programs.
  • At least one year of continuous nursing experience providing direct patient care.
  • Proven leadership skills with a commitment to diversity and collaborative teamwork.
  • Proficiency in technology and experience in supervision, planning, and budget preparation.
