Civil Designer/Drafter

Location: Carlsbad, CACompensation: $33–$40/hour ($68,640–$83,200 annually, DOE)

We’re hiring two Civil Designers/Drafters to join a fast-moving team in Carlsbad. This is an opportunity for early-career talent college grads or professionals with up to two years of experience to get hands-on with real project work and accelerate their growth.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with Project Managers to bring projects to life from conceptual and master planning through to design and documentation.

• Support development of site layouts, grading, utilities, stormwater management, erosion/sediment control, and roadway design.

• Ensure projects hit deadlines while meeting company, client, and regulatory standards.

• Contribute to high-quality deliverables that make projects run smoothly in the real world.

What You Bring

• 0–2 years of civil drafting/design experience (internships and project work count).

• Proficiency with AutoDesk Civil 3D (2018 or newer).

• Experience building 3D surfaces (a plus, not a dealbreaker).

• Detail-oriented mindset and strong communication skills you can collaborate, problem-solve, and execute.

• Ability to juggle deadlines and step up when projects demand more than 40 hours a week.
