Sales Director – Astronauts Client

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Sales Director to lead and grow revenue efforts in the modular manufacturing industry. This is a strategic, high-impact role where you will shape the go-to-market approach, build a high-performing sales team, and strengthen relationships with developers, architects, contractors, and institutional clients.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a growth environment, understands the unique advantages of modular construction, and knows how to translate those advantages into results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership – Define and execute a sales strategy that aligns with company goals and market trends.

  • Market Development – Identify and pursue high-value verticals, including government and institutional markets.

  • Revenue Growth – Set ambitious targets, forecast results, and implement tactical plans to exceed them.

  • Team Building – Recruit, lead, and mentor a business development team, fostering a performance-driven culture with clear KPIs and career growth paths.

  • Client Engagement – Build trusted relationships with school districts, government entities, general contractors, and architects; champion the benefits of modular construction: speed, cost control, sustainability, versatility, and quality.

  • Collaboration – Partner with marketing to drive lead generation, content strategy, and event participation.

  • Operational Alignment – Work closely with operations, estimating, project management, and engineering to ensure sales commitments align with production capabilities.

  • Market Intelligence – Monitor competitor activity, gather market feedback, and adjust strategies to stay ahead.

  • Sales Management – Oversee CRM usage, pipeline health, and forecasting; provide clear, actionable reporting to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

  • 3–5+ years in sales management or leadership, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in modular construction, prefabrication, or commercial/industrial building systems.

  • Proven success in scaling and managing high-performing sales teams within technical or construction-focused industries.

  • Prior work experience and expertise with construction development cycles, contracts, and decision-making stakeholders.

  • Executive leadership presence with excellent relationship building, interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Work experience with Procore and/or NetSuite is a plus.
