Join a high-profile law firm in this exciting position as a litigation paralegal/executive legal assistant in Texarkana, Arkansas. While this position is mainly on-site, there is flexibility available when needed.

Responsibilities - Litigation Paralegal
  • Be the right-hand paralegal, to the lead partner
  • Paralegal work on litigation cases, including trial preparation
  • Own the calendar: docketing, meeting deadlines, conference calls, hearings, trial dates, depositions, mediations, Zoom rooms, and personal appointments
  • Handle attorney's extensive travel schedule
  • Draft complaints, motions, notices, expert disclosures/reports
  • Schedule hearings, depositions, and trial dates
  • Create Trial binders and expert witness files
  • Compile Depositions/Mediations/Hearing Notebooks
  • Draft discovery requests and responses
  • e-Filing in multiple states
  • Coordinate and gather pre-suit information and experts
  • Initiate necessary paperwork for client retention
  • Preparation of pre-suit notices
  • Draft complaints and petitions under the supervision of attorney
  • Manage case files
  • Legal research and drafting
  • Communication with clients
  • Trial and deposition preparation
  • Attend and assist lawyers at trial
  • Ability to work in a multi-state environments in terms of court filing/hearing procedures
  • Administrative office management tasks
Qualifications
  • Must be self-directed with the ability to work independently with little supervision. The lawyers are frequently out of town in trial in neighboring states.
  • Resourceful and highly motivated with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Exceptional keyboarding, proofing, grammar, spelling and writing skills.
  • The ability to field client calls. Client service is key to our success.
  • Familiar working within an Apple computer environment.
  • MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) proficiency.
  • 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience required; 10+ years preferred.
  • Bachelors degree or paralegal certification preferred.
Compensation, Benefits and Perks
  • This is a top-pay position with ample time off.
  • Base salary is dependent upon a number of factors, including years of litigation paralegal experience, education, certifications, job history, references, tenure, and skills.
  • Lucrative bonuses possible.
