Position Overview:We are looking for an experienced CNC Mill Programmer/Machinist with expertise in Mastercam software to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components. Using Mastercam software, you will create, modify, and optimize CNC programs to ensure efficient, accurate, and high-quality machining operations. A solid understanding of machining processes and tooling, coupled with a strong attention to detail, will be crucial to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program CNC milling machines using Mastercam software to create tool paths based on customer specifications, technical drawings, and blueprints.

  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines, ensuring proper fixture setup, tooling, and alignment for each job.

  • Develop, optimize, and modify CNC programs for efficient and precise machining, utilizing Mastercam for both 2D and 3D milling operations.

  • Ensure parts are manufactured within the specified tolerances, using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues by modifying programs or setups, ensuring minimal downtime.

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless integration of part designs into the manufacturing process.

  • Review and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and customer specifications to determine optimal machining strategies and tooling.

  • Monitor machine performance, adjusting programs, speeds, feeds, and tooling as necessary to maintain production efficiency and part quality.

  • Maintain and update accurate records for tooling, programs, setup sheets, and production reports.

  • Ensure strict adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and company procedures during all phases of production.

  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tooling, ensuring proper operation and longevity.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with technical certifications or training in CNC machining or related fields preferred.

  • Proven experience as a CNC Mill Programmer and Machinist, with experience using Mastercam software.

  • Strong proficiency in G-code and M-code programming.

  • Experience with 3-axis and multi-axis CNC milling machines.

  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.

  • In-depth knowledge of machining processes, tooling, feeds and speeds, and material properties.

  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, especially in CNC machining processes.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
