Position: Applications Engineer
 Location: Costa Mesa, CA
 Shift: 1st | Hours: 8 AM – 5 PM
 Type: Full-Time | Mode: Direct Placement

Pay Scale: $34.43 – $55.15/hr | Industry: Manufacturing

Our Client is seeking an Applications Engineer to support Sales and Applications teams by demonstrating advanced standalone and specialized machines, conducting time studies, and providing expert post-sales support. The ideal candidate will showcase client’s technologies, deliver customer training, and ensure machines are fully prepared for daily demonstrations.

Job Responsibilities:

     Perform standard and custom demos for standalone machines, automated systems, and niche machines.

     Create time studies and sample parts to customer requirements using proprietary and other software.

     Provide training to customers, new Applications Engineers, and internal staff (Training, Engineering, Service).

     Offer customer technical support via phone and email.

     Demonstrate advanced programming skills (control and offline) on systems and additional offline software.

     Develop and redesign demo parts as needed.

     Communicate the benefits and unique value of machine features.

     Determine proper tooling selection for punch/press brake and derive laser tech tables for specialty applications.

     Apply technical documentation effectively in daily work.

     Support trade show machine demos and host Sales Rep training seminars.

     Maintain assigned machines to be clean, functional, and demonstration-ready daily.

Requirements:

     Minimum 3 years applications experience in the machine tool industry (clients products preferred).

     Excellent communication and networking skills; ability to work independently.

     Basic understanding of project management and ability to train colleagues a plus.

     Minimum 2-year technical degree required; 4-year degree preferred or equivalent experience.
