A reputable construction services firm is looking for a WAQTC Certified Special Inspector to support inspection and materials testing across northern Idaho and eastern Washington. This field-based role requires hands-on expertise, strong technical skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Perform field inspections and materials testing in accordance with WAQTC procedures and project specifications.
Monitor construction activities for compliance with approved plans and applicable standards.
Conduct testing and inspection of aggregates, asphalt, base materials, and in-place densities.
Prepare accurate, timely electronic field reports and record test results on mobile devices.
Operate and maintain field/lab equipment such as nuclear gauges, density equipment, and sampling tools.
Communicate professionally with contractors, engineers, and internal team members.
Travel throughout the service region for onsite inspections.

ACI Field Testing Technician Grade I or higher
Nuclear Gauge Safety Training
ICC Certifications in:
Reinforced Concrete
Pre-Stressed Concrete
Structural Steel and Bolting
Structural Welding
Spray-Applied & Intumescent Fireproofing
Positive attitude and strong customer service approach
Excellent time management and attention to detail
Comfortable using tablets or mobile devices for reporting
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver 75 lbs with assistance
Willingness to drive to project sites throughout the region
