Labor & Employment Class Action Associate Attorney / Mid-Senior Level

Locations: Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, or Silicon Valley, CA

 

Our client, a prominent AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a skilled and motivated Mid-Level or Senior Associate Attorney to join their Labor and Employment Group in California. This hybrid position is available at their Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, or Silicon Valley office.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Bar Admission in California.
  • 3–5 years of substantive experience in employment litigation, with a desire for trial work.
  • Experience defending wage and hour claims, including wage and hour class action lawsuits.
  • Meaningful experience in transactional employment work, including drafting employment and severance agreements, EEOC position statements, and DFEH responses, as well as conducting witness interviews and depositions.
  • Background in counseling employers on federal and state employment law compliance, drafting workplace policies, and assisting clients with employment training programs is a plus.
  • Experience in traditional management labor relations is advantageous.
  • Superior legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defend employers in complex employment litigation matters, including wage and hour class actions.
  • Draft and prepare employment agreements, severance agreements, and workplace policies.
  • Counsel clients on compliance with federal and California employment laws.
  • Represent clients in depositions, witness interviews, and trial preparations.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced attorneys on high-stakes employment cases and transactional matters.
