We are conducting a search for a Maintenance Planner/Inventory Control Analyst for a highly regarded manufacturer in Northvale, NJ. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance planning and inventory control, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all maintenance activities are executed in a timely and cost-efficient manner. You will be responsible for managing inventory and spare parts needed to fulfill forecasted/scheduled maintenance planning. incoming maintenance requests, and order assignments and product availability to mechanics, creating work/purchase orders for approval and minimizing inventory costs. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Procurement manager to maintain accurate records of maintenance performed, equipment condition/modifications and upgrades, procuring necessary maintenance supplies/parts and work with vendors and contractors as needed.
What You’ll Do:
Maintenance Planner 50%:
· Act as a resource in scheduling and coordinating planned maintenance activities with Procurement manager and Maintenance Managers.
· Provide input on resource allocation and scheduling based on workload and priorities.
· Report daily status updates on equipment repairs, missing parts, and identifies critical issues to ensure escalation and resolve.
· Help optimize maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency and research for root cause concern to eliminate repeated issues and problems with tags and sending machines to production without tags.
· Gather necessary information from production teams to accurately document maintenance needs.
· Communicate with maintenance technicians assigning detailed work tasks in our CMMS system, work orders and outlining the required tasks, materials, and timelines in Redzone.
· Report daily observations with production area managers to ensure clear communication between mechanics and production, answering complaints with specifications explaining the reasons and issues with start-ups, ensuring action is taken for regarding PMs and CMs.
· Oversee normal operations of the maintenance shop and set up team
· Facilitates service parts function
· Receives and distributes parts with sign in/out sheets
· Notifies maintenance managers of any supply shortage and material outages
· Practices good safety and housekeeping rules
· Keeps equipment in good working condition and advises supervision when repairs or maintenance is necessary.

· Performs daily cycle counts, physical inventory as directed by supervision and report results.
· Support engineering projects as assigned and/or assist others with related tasks.
· Comply with all regulatory and departmental policies, procedures, and standards.
· Performs all duties as assigned by supervision and complete special projects as needed.
Inventory & System Maintenance and Improvement 50%:
· Monitors and updates master schedules to reflect inventory turnover, stocking decisions, forecasting, and administrative controls.
· Troubleshoots variances, research parts and controls storage of components
· Work with the maintenance team to identify areas for improvement in the maintenance system.
· Provide training and support to maintenance staff on using the system effectively.
· Organize inventory locations to enhance convenience for maintenance techs.
· Label locations and parts.
· Make the necessary corrections to reflect accurate inventory values.
What You’ll Bring:Skills/Experience – Habilidades/Experiencia
· Previous experience in maintenance planning and inventory control, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
· Proficiency in using maintenance management software, with experience in Tractian being a plus.
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in both English and Spanish
· Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions quickly.
· Knowledge of maintenance best practices and safety regulations.
· Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications/Cualificaciones:
· Must be 18 years of age and have a HS Diploma or equivalent.
· Previous experience with inventory control and reconciliation processes preferred
· Knowledge of SAP system and shop floor control.
· Aptitude for math including decimals, fractions, and percentages.
· Knowledge of manufacturing operations desirable.
· Highly Proficient in Microsoft Excel
· Good judgment and decision-making skills.
· Maintain professional, respectful open communication with others.
· Have a good attitude / character and work well under pressure.
· Organized and Punctual.
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Must be fluent in English and Spanish
Physical Requirements/ Requisitos Fisicos:
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
· Physically able to work 10+ hours walking, pushing/pulling carts and lifting products.
· Must be able to handle a box cutter or tape gun.
· Must follow good grooming habits.
