Trust & Estates Attorney - New York

What You'll Do:

As a Trust & Estates Attorney in our New York office, you will play a pivotal role in our firm's estate planning and administration practice. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Complex Estate Planning:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive estate plans for high-net-worth individuals and families.
    • Provide asset protection planning and strategies.
  • Trusts & Estates Administration:

    • Administer trusts and estates, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
    • Manage all aspects of probate and trust administration, including preparing and reviewing documents, filings, and reports.
  • Client Consultation and Representation:

    • Advise clients on estate, gift, and income tax matters.
    • Represent clients in estate-related disputes and litigation.
  • Collaborative Work:

    • Work closely with other attorneys and support staff to deliver exceptional client service.
    • Participate in business development activities to expand the firm's client base.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in complex estate planning, asset protection planning, and trusts & estates administration.
    • Experience in business is a plus but not required.
  • Qualifications:

    • LLM in Taxation or CPA.
    • Admission to the New York Bar.
  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
    • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Salary:

The expected salary range for this position is between $200,000 and $300,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
