Salary: $130,000 – $175,000 annually

With deep roots in New Jersey and a growing client base, the firm seeks an experienced healthcare litigator to support its expanding practice group and provide exceptional representation in high-stakes disputes.

Description:

This is an opportunity to join a leading healthcare practice group handling professional liability, medical malpractice defense, and complex healthcare litigation. The Associate Attorney will manage cases from inception through resolution, appearing in court and arbitration, and advising clients on compliance issues ranging from HIPAA to Medicare/Medicaid fraud. The ideal candidate brings prior experience as a healthcare prosecutor or in defending medical professionals, with the ability to blend courtroom advocacy with regulatory insight. Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active NJ Bar admission required; NY Bar admission preferred or must be obtained
  • Minimum 4 years’ healthcare litigation experience (medical malpractice, white-collar, or commercial disputes)
  • Prior experience as a Deputy Attorney General, Assistant U.S. Attorney, or medical board prosecutor strongly preferred
  • Background in hospital, health system, 340B, or pharmacy-related matters advantageous
  • Experience advising on telemedicine, fraud investigations, Medicare/Medicaid compliance, and health reform issues
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations (HIPAA, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, state regulatory frameworks)
  • Demonstrated ability to draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and manage discovery independently
  • Excellent negotiation, research, and courtroom advocacy skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and adaptability to shifting regulatory landscapes
  • Proven collaboration and mentorship capabilities within legal teams
