Following are responsibilities for each of the roles:

 

 Payroll Analyst 

 ·    Monitor incoming payroll tax notices. Research and resolve payroll tax issues

·    Responsible for multi-jurisdiction taxation for new job set up. Ensure compliance through regular audits

·    Register for new jurisdictions and maintaining communication with appropriate agencies

·    Process assigned payrolls for multiple locations in multiple states

·    Reconcile current tax prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports

·    Responsible for all applicable compliance reporting

·    Stay current with government regulations that impact employee taxation

·    Demonstrates knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations regarding payroll and benefits, including COBRA, FLSA and FMLA

 

 Payroll Specialist

 ·    Enters all new hires into the payroll system and terminates all finished employees in the payroll system

·    Process garnishments and child support orders

·    Process assigned multi-state payrolls

·    Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports

·    Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely

·    Stay current with government regulations that impact employee taxation

·    Ensure Employment Verifications are processed in a timely manner

·    Demonstrates knowledge of federal, state and local regulations regarding payroll and benefits, including COBRA, FLSA and FMLA

·    Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns

 

 Payroll Clerk

·    Enters all new hires into the payroll system and terminates all finished employees in the payroll system.

·    Initiates onboarding module and tracks process through completion

·    Processes employee address change and change applicable taxes

·    Validates I9 & E verify procedures.

·    Process garnishments and child support orders

·    Ensure Employment Verifications are processed in a timely manner

·    Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns

·    Process rate changes in payroll system validates for accuracy

·    Learns new payroll concepts to prepare for growth within the department

·    Assists in various projects as assigned

·    Escheatment
