Lead the development and implementation of peer-to-peer healthcare provider (HCP) education in the US for Tissue Regeneration/Polymer/Peripheral Nerve .

        Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the design, planning, optimization, delivery, and monitoring of peer-to-peer HCP educational programs and events
  • Serves as a liaison between COMPANY and academic institutions/programs
  • Ensures relevance and visibility of COMPANY educational programs with relevant medical societies, e.g., ASSH, PNS, and others
  • Develops, manages and reports program timelines and budgets
  • Manages and supports national and regional educational programs by identifying and developing faculty, providing hands-on instruction to participants, and performing other activities as needed
  • Ensures all educational events are in full compliance with all applicable regulations and guidances
  • Continuously evaluates and leads improvement of program effectiveness and efficiency
  • Manages operations of COMPANY Training Facility
  • Develops and maintains effective and compliant relationships with academic institutions, residency and fellowship directors, surgical trainees, and HCP-educators.
  • Leads the management of Advisory Boards (agenda, execution, follow-up) for Nerve Solutions
  • Serves as primary contact for COMPANY functional area representatives and vendors
  • Maintains regular communications with relevant departments such as R&D, Regulatory, Marketing, and others
  • Represents COMPANY’s strategic interest with medical societies
  • Oversees the execution of approved educational grants, faculty contracts and honorarium/expense reimbursement payments.
  • Coaches and develops the medical education team to support continued improvement
  • May support the sales force in non-sales capacity by being a local technical, clinical, and scientific expert

        Supervisory Responsibilities.

o   This role is individual contributor for the next 12 months and then will have personnel supervisory responsibilities.

         Qualifications & Skills     

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, sciences, health care or related discipline
  • Preference is Prof Ed experience with Peripheral Nerve and Tissue Regeneration
  • Minimum 7 years (DIRECTOR: Minimum 10 years) in Clinician and Surgeon Education and /or Medical Device Education focusing on product and procedural knowledge
    • Minimum 7 years fostering and managing HCP-educator relationships
    • Minimum 5 years in managing HCP training programs
    • Minimum 5 years (DIRECTOR: minimum 7 years) direct personnel management responsibilities (hiring, developing, promoting, performance management, annual reviews)
    • DIRECTOR: Minimum 5 years collaboration with clinical societies and at least one co-branded or co-promoted program
  • Broad scientific and technical understanding of Hand and Extremity Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, or Orthopedic Surgery is required
  • Working knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in HCP training
  • Advanced written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, including proficient knowledge of medical terminology
  • Systematic and efficient planning, decision making, prioritization, negotiation, and coordination skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, supervisory and project planning skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Business, Regulatory, Legal, Quality, and other internal and external partners
  • Ability to work effectively in multilingual/multicultural environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently (up to 60%)

 

5.         Location      

This position is open to qualified candidates located in Eastern Massachusetts (preferred) or within one hour drive of any major US hub airport (ATL, DFW, ORD, MIA, JFK, LGA, PHL, DEN, LAX) MUST be willing to travel 70%
