Director of Construction Operations

Our client is seeking a proven construction operations leader for their senior leadership role overseeing large-scale commercial construction and facility management projects. This position requires an experienced leader who can balance strategy with hands-on execution, guiding teams and contractors to deliver projects on time, on budget, and above expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead internal teams, General Contractors, and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Manage full lifecycle of commercial construction projects, from planning through completion.
• Integrate multiple trades including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and carpentry.
• Establish and enforce safety, quality, and compliance standards.
• Build and mentor teams.
• Foster collaboration and accountability.
• Maintain proactive client communication before, during, and after projects.
• Drive innovation, risk management, and process improvements across operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in construction management, with 5+ years in senior leadership.
• Direct P&L oversight, pricing, bidding, and job costing experience.
• Hands‑on trade knowledge with ability to oversee service repairs.
• Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam), scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera), and reporting platforms (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Familiarity with mobile work‑order systems (e.g., Samsara, ServiceChannel) and CRM tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.
• OSHA certification preferred.
