Duties:
  • Oversee and manage the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly, multi-state payroll for a diverse employee population including exempt, non-exempt, bonus, and commission structures.
  • Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely check processing.
  • Resolve escalated payroll inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with the HR department to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes with new hires, terminations, and leaves of absence.
  • Prepare and distribute regular payroll reports to key stakeholders, including bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard payroll data and optimize efficiency.
  • Communicate payroll procedures effectively to company leadership and field offices.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience supervising a team of at least three direct reports.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in payroll management.
  • Strong proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and E-time in a multi-state environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of multi-state wage and hour laws.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
