Duties:
Oversee and manage the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly, multi-state payroll for a diverse employee population including exempt, non-exempt, bonus, and commission structures.
Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely check processing.
Resolve escalated payroll inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
Collaborate with the HR department to ensure seamless integration of payroll processes with new hires, terminations, and leaves of absence.
Prepare and distribute regular payroll reports to key stakeholders, including bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard payroll data and optimize efficiency.
Communicate payroll procedures effectively to company leadership and field offices.
Requirements:
Proven experience supervising a team of at least three direct reports.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
Minimum of two years of experience in payroll management.
Strong proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and E-time in a multi-state environment.
In-depth knowledge of multi-state wage and hour laws.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
