Our client bank is a leading financial institution committed to providing exceptional financial services to its customers. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead the investment strategy and portfolio management efforts.

Job Summary: The Chief Investment Officer is responsible for the overall investment strategy and performance of the bank's investment portfolio. This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets, economic trends, and risk management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in investment management and a strong ability to lead and develop a high-performing investment team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive investment strategy aligned with the bank's overall business objectives and risk appetite.
  • Oversee the management of the bank's investment portfolio, including asset allocation, security selection, and risk management.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis and market research to identify investment opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with investment managers, brokers, and other external partners.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the investment portfolio, providing regular reports and analysis to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant investment regulations and guidelines.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing investment team, providing mentorship and guidance.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in investment management.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in finance, economics, or a related field.
  • CFA charter holder or equivalent professional designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in investment management, with a strong track record of success.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial markets, economic trends, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools.
