Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical tools, equipment, and sterile fields in adherence to medical protocols.
  • Actively participate in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care for patients.
  • Ensure proper handling and maintenance of surgical instruments and materials.
  • Collaborate with medical teams to enhance operational efficiency and patient safety.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (HS/GED).
  • Licenses/Certifications:
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
    • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Tech in Surgery - Certified (CST-NCCT) by the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
