Our Award Winning Client seeks a Mammography Technician to join their team in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. The selected individual will perform screening and diagnostic mammograms using ionizing radiation according to established protocols. This position requires a deep understanding of breast anatomy, physiology, pathology, and related medical terminology.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer ionizing radiation to perform screening and diagnostic mammograms per established protocols.
  • Maintain high accuracy in breast positioning, exposure techniques, and imaging evaluation to optimize patient imaging and care.
  • Integrate technical skills, patient interaction, and care to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by a physician.
  • Use independent professional judgment and critical thinking to determine diagnostic results and seek direction from an MQSA-qualified interpreting physician or institutional policies when necessary.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to the physical, cultural, and emotional needs of patients through effective communication, assessment, monitoring, and care skills in a non-judgmental manner.
  • Participate in quality improvement processes and continually assess professional performance.
  • Understand state and federal regulations and possess knowledge of quality control and quality assurance requirements for mammography.

Education Requirements:

  • Post High School Diploma Program

Experience:

  • Relevant Experience

Certification and Licensure:

  • BLS Certification
  • RT (R) or RT (R) (M)

Required Skills:

  • Computer skills including use and navigation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Microsoft Outlook proficiency

Candidate Details:Ideal candidates will be entry-level professionals with a high school diploma or equivalent. No management experience is required, and candidates must be willing to travel on a limited basis. The position demands individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in computer navigation, and specific certifications such as BLS and RT (R) or RT (R) (M).
