Position Overview

Our Award-Winning Client is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team in Mapleton, IL. This role plays a critical part in ensuring high-quality standards for parts and prime products. The individual in this role will be responsible for enhancing production processes, analyzing root causes of quality concerns, and implementing effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Process & Quality Control: Develop and implement quality control methodologies to drive process efficiency and ensure adherence to high-quality standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives such as Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and process certifications to improve operations.
• Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support: Work with engineering, production, and leadership teams to drive process improvements, reduce defects, and enhance overall product quality.
• Lean Manufacturing & 5S Implementation: Support lean initiatives, SAP integration, and best practices for process optimization.
• New Product Introduction (NPI): Collaborate with engineering teams on design validation, supplier coordination, and production implementation for new and updated products.
• Standardization & Documentation: Assist in setting up goals, integrating 5S/Lean Manufacturing, and ensuring compliance with internal certification systems.
• Problem Resolution: Utilize structured problem-solving techniques to address operational inefficiencies and implement data-driven solutions.

• Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Strong ability to apply structured investigative techniques to resolve manufacturing challenges.

• Problem-Solving: Hands-on experience in applying systematic problem-solving tools to enhance operational efficiency.
• Precision & Accuracy: High level of attention to detail and commitment to maintaining stringent quality standards.
• Adaptability & Flexibility: Capable of working in a rapidly evolving production environment with changing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior foundry experience is highly desirable.
