Advanced Practice Caregiver - Oncology

Full-time | Oregon | Level III Trauma Hospital

Qualifications

Required:

  • 1+ years of experience in ANY of the following:
    • Oncology
    • Surgical Oncology
  • Valid Licensure/Certification (at least one):
    • Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) in Oregon
    • Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Oregon
  • Board Certification (NP or PA)
  • AONCP Certification (or in process) – Required for NP candidates
  • Oregon License (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred:

  • PA Oncology Subspecialty Training or Additional Oncology Training
  • Experience in an Inpatient and/or Outpatient Oncology setting
  • Ties to Oregon (family in the area or previous residency)

Overview

Our client, a 127-bed Level III Trauma hospital, is seeking an Advanced Practice Caregiver to join their Oncology service line. This role offers a collaborative patient care environment with a strong focus on professional growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Function as a clinical care team member, performing procedures and tasks within the scope of an advanced practice provider (NP or PA)
  • Provide direct patient care in oncology, assisting with treatment planning and coordination
  • Work collaboratively with oncologists, surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care

Schedule and Shift Details

  • Full-time, Day Shift
  • Four 10-hour shifts per week
  • No nights or weekends
  • Paid call shared equally among team members

Additional Considerations

  • Candidates with prior experience practicing as an Oncology NP/PA (inpatient and/or outpatient) are strongly preferred
  • PA candidates with Oncology Subspecialty Training will be given priority
