Position Overview

Our Award-Winning Client is seeking a Director of Imaging & Diagnostic Services to oversee the strategic direction and management of imaging operations. This leadership role is responsible for an extensive range of diagnostic services, including CT, Radiology, Ultrasound, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PACS, and additional radiology modalities. The Director will drive operational excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, manage budgets, enhance patient care quality, and lead a high-performing team.

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with medical leadership and act as a primary decision-maker for all administrative aspects of Imaging Services. This role is instrumental in enhancing workflows, increasing efficiency, and optimizing financial and personnel resources to support the organization's long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategic Planning

• Direct short- and long-term planning initiatives for Imaging Services, ensuring alignment with institutional objectives.
• Establish workforce development initiatives, overseeing recruitment, retention, and performance evaluations.
• Provide high-level leadership to department managers, ensuring team engagement and optimal staff performance.
• Implement strategic partnerships within departments to drive innovation and cross-functional efficiency.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on administrative policies and advancements in imaging technology.

Operational Management & Service Excellence

• Oversee daily department functions, including scheduling, workflow efficiency, and service delivery.
• Ensure adherence to patient-centered care models, maintaining high satisfaction scores.
• Establish protocols and best practices for quality assurance, risk mitigation, and compliance with all regulatory agencies.
• Optimize imaging operations by integrating cutting-edge advancements and process improvements.
• Actively represent the Imaging Services department in interdisciplinary collaborations and committees.

Financial & Resource Oversight

• Develop and execute budgetary strategies, ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Assess and forecast capital investment needs for imaging technology and equipment.
• Identify and implement resource optimization strategies, minimizing excess costs while maintaining superior service levels.
• Enhance workforce planning by structuring staffing models that balance efficiency with high-quality patient care.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure a safe, regulatory-compliant environment in alignment with all local, state, and national accreditation bodies.
• Direct staff credentialing processes, maintaining compliance with certification and licensure requirements.
• Utilize data-driven methodologies to assess workflow efficiency, patient safety measures, and procedural improvements.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and situational awareness, utilizing Lean methodologies and peer accountability models.

Innovation & Growth

• Lead process optimization initiatives, implementing technological advancements to enhance diagnostic imaging services.
• Actively contribute to community outreach and professional healthcare networks, representing our Award-Winning Client at industry events.
• Drive change initiatives, fostering adaptability in response to evolving industry trends and organizational needs.
• Support professional development for team members, ensuring access to continuous education and training opportunities.

Required Skills & Certifications

• CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (State Licensure) or RDMS – Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA Certification
