Our Award-Winning Client, a nationally recognized leader in the Food & Beverage industry, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Millwright to join their manufacturing team in Guelph, Ontario. Position Overview:

This role involves performing essential maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of manufacturing equipment. The successful candidate will troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems while ensuring compliance with all workplace safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
  • Perform maintenance trades, including electrical, welding, pipe fitting, fabrication, machining, rigging systems, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, and pumps/piping systems.
  • Complete work orders, permits, and parts ordering while maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Work in varied conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, dust, loud noise, and elevated areas.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding performance and safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Certifications:

  • Ontario or Inter-Provincial 433A Millwright Certificate (Full License)
  • Ability to perform physical job duties, including bending, stooping, lifting at least 50 lbs, kneeling, and climbing ladders
  • Basic computer skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays with prior notice
  • Ability to communicate in English (verbal & written)
  • Experience with MRO (Maintenance Repair Operations) and/or MRP (Material Requirement Planning)
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience working in a fast-paced production facility

Shift is a straight day continental shift. Time is 6am to 6pm. Below is the schedule of days worked
 
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
 
The sign on bonus will be paid as follow:
 
90 calendar days completed - $1,000 NET pay will drop into the person's bank account
180 calendar days completed - $1,000 NET pay will drop into the person's bank account
270 calendar days completed - $1,000 NET pay will drop into the person's bank account
