A highly regarded law firm is seeking an exceptional Executive Assistant to support a senior Partner in its Washington, DC office. This firm represents clients in sophisticated legal matters across multiple industries. This is an opportunity to partner closely with a senior legal leader with an active national practice. The Executive Assistant will operate as a trusted right hand, serving as a strategic gatekeeper, relationship manager, and operational anchor across both professional and select personal responsibilities.
 
The ideal candidate is highly polished, detail-oriented, and exercises outstanding judgment. Success in this role requires discretion, proactive thinking, and the ability to anticipate needs in a fast-moving, high-performance environment. This individual operates with an exacting level of attention to detail and an exceptional commitment to accuracy. Occasional after-hours availability is required.
 
About the Job:
• Provide comprehensive executive support including complex calendar and inbox management, high-level correspondence, and coordination with clients, firm leadership, and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate complex domestic travel, detailed itineraries, and speaking engagements.
• Support the Partner on billing matters, including client correspondence and liaison with billing department.
• Draft and edit correspondence, presentations, client agreements, and internal communications.
• Organize and facilitate meetings from preparation through follow-up.
• Serve as a trusted representative and relationship builder with clients, colleagues, and professional contacts.
• Assist with occasional personal logistics such as scheduling, travel coordination, and ad hoc requests.
• Act as a strategic gatekeeper, ensuring the partner’s time and priorities are thoughtfully managed.

About You:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Minimum of 5+ years supporting a senior executive, ideally within legal or other professional services environments
• Exceptionally organized, proactive, and resourceful, with a strong commitment to accuracy
• Highly motivated self-starter with impeccable judgment, knowing when tasks can be executed independently and when coordination with Partner is required
• Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a refined executive presence
• Emotionally intelligent, adaptable, and calm under pressure
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
• Technically proficient, with advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
