Job Title: Account Executive 

Location: Northern Ohio 

 

An established and rapidly growing clinical laboratory organization is seeking a high-energy Account Executive to help expand its physician client base across Northern Ohio.

In this field-based role, you’ll be responsible for selling a comprehensive menu of clinical, molecular, microbiology, cytology, and anatomic pathology testing, along with supporting I.T. solutions. You’ll act as a key liaison between new clients and the lab, ensuring smooth onboarding, ongoing service, and long-term retention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect physician offices and healthcare practices and manage leads through the full sales cycle
  • Sell diagnostic testing and related I.T. offerings to specialties such as Ob/Gyn, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Dermatology, and Urology
  • Build relationships with key staff (Physicians, MAs, Office Managers, DONs) and earn their trust to capture new business
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to close high-value opportunities
  • Manage onboarding, setup, and account integration with internal teams
  • Maintain your book of business and ensure clients are supported post-sale
  • Forecast new business monthly and provide regular updates to leadership
  • Monitor client billing and resolve any issues related to missing information (MI) or account aging
  • Keep detailed and timely activity records in CRM
  • Actively participate in company quality improvement initiatives
  • Take ownership of professional growth and sales development

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3–5 years of sales or account management experience in clinical lab services or anatomic pathology preferred
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and CRM tools
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
  • Must thrive in a competitive, fast-paced environment and enjoy relationship-based selling
