The CNC Maintenance Technician Supervisor will manage day to day functions of the Maintenance department. This individual will need to be mechanically inclined as well as demonstrate the “hands-on” abilities of repair and maintain to plant equipment in order to reduce downtime in a fast-paced machining environment. This, along with following Safety Standards, is an essential part of the Maintenance Team.

 

Responsibilities:

· Schedule and assign work to maintenance technicians.

· Responsible for scheduling and maintaining of preventive maintenance program for all CNC machines.

· Troubleshoot machinery to determine “root cause” of failure and ability to follow electro-mechanical diagrams.

· Perform repairs on all types of CNC machinery, from spindle repairs to ball screws to electrical components.

· Must have effective communication of production impact, down time and suggested action needed for machine repairs.

· Must be able to work alone or with minimal supervision.

· Must be familiar with all aspects of Haas, Okuma, Mori Seiki, vertical, horizontal and lathe machines.

· Maintain and assist in spare parts inventory practices.

· Maintain machines, equipment, tools and work area in a clean and safe manner as well as building maintenance.

· Other tasks as assigned

 

Education & Experience:

· Prior work experience on CNC equipment in manufacturing required

· Prior supervisory experience

· Experience in repairing: hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment required

· Ability to work on vertical or horizontal machines; as well as have knowledge of Fanuc controls

· Certification/Knowledge with 110, 220, 480 single-phased/three-phased wiring preferred

· Ability to follow ALL safety protocols; including Lock-Out / Tag-Out

· Basic computer and measuring capabilities

· Ability to read and comprehend instructions in English as well as average math skills and communications a must

 

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to pass a pre-placement physical and drug screen

· Capable of lifting up to a maximum of 50 pounds

· Ability to maneuver around, in, on, elevated or under equipment in order to identify maintenance/repairs.

· Must be able to adjust to changes in weather as needed for repairs/maintenance to both in and outside of facility
