The Senior Welding Engineer will be the go-to expert for developing and optimizing welding techniques, procedures, and equipment applications across our metal fabrication operations. You’ll work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to improve weld quality, efficiency, and safety every step of the way.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide day-to-day process support and troubleshooting for welding operations.

  • Investigate and document weld defects, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.

  • Develop, qualify, and roll out new welding procedures using the latest technologies.

  • Design welding projects and specify the right tools, materials, and processes for success.

  • Continuously improve production capabilities and drive weld optimization initiatives.

  • Analyze workflows and production data to recommend improvements and streamline operations.

  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and equipment manuals.

  • Manage programs across multiple machines, ensuring traceability, repeatability, and ERP integration.

  • Develop and maintain welding fixtures, ensuring proper design, use, and documentation.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally, share knowledge, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and safety.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Systems Engineering.

  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) preferred.

  • Proven welding experience with sheet metal, weldments, and large assemblies.

  • Proficiency in CAD software to design and document welding projects.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and familiarity with ISO 9000 standards.

  • Knowledge of welding equipment installation, maintenance, and repair.
