Real Estate Paralegal

Practice Area: Commercial/Industrial Real Estate Transactional Law

Location: Roseland, NJ 07068

Schedule: Full-time | 40+ hours per week, Hybrid/Flexible (2 to 3 days per week onsite)

Salary: $65,000 – $85,000 base

Description:

The Real Estate Paralegal will support attorneys across all phases of commercial and industrial real estate transactions. This includes reviewing due diligence documents, coordinating title and survey matters, drafting organizational paperwork, and facilitating closings. The hired individual will be responsible for managing end-to-end complex real estate transactions, including contract preparation, title/survey review, payoff coordination, and document recording. Working closely with attorneys, lenders, and clients, you’ll act as an anchor for transactions from intake through post-closing. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and enjoys handling high volumes of detail-oriented work with autonomy and precision.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree minimum with Paralegal certification with or bachelor's degree equivalent.
  • 5+ years of real estate paralegal experience in a legal or corporate setting
  • Proficient in reviewing and summarizing title reports, surveys, and zoning documents.
  • Skilled in entity formation, document drafting, and maintaining deal checklists.
  • Experienced in managing escrow closings and preparing closing binders
  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable coordinating with outside counsel and vendors.

Preferred:

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite and other PDF handling software such as Kofax or Adobe.
  • Notary Public certification preferred or ability to obtain.
  • Understanding of corporate documentation, such as filing SS-4 forms, EINs, certifications.
  • Solid electronic document management skill with good time management and multitasking capabilities.
  • Adaptable to fast-paced transactional timelines and overtime demands
  • Reliable, meticulous, and highly collaborative team player.
