SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Engineer will support Production, Quality, and Sales by developing and implementing manufacturing process improvements and overseeing the Continuous Improvement Team.
Key responsibilities include:

Planning, developing, and improving processes for production, tooling, and general manufacturing.

Creating and maintaining appropriate documentation for new or existing parts.

Maximizing utilization and efficiency of human, material, and machine resources, as well as optimizing workflow, equipment layout, and space requirements.

Ensuring safety of personnel, equipment, machinery, and the facility.

Troubleshooting and resolving quality or production issues to improve on-time delivery, efficiency, and profitability.

Applying broad knowledge of equipment and tools and influencing positive changes across teams.

Collaborating closely with shop floor personnel, toolmakers, Quality, Production, and Maintenance to implement effective solutions.
This role is hands-on and requires strong problem-solving skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to work across multiple teams to drive results.
JOB DESCRIPTION• Strong understanding of fabrication processes related to our customers Products.
• General knowledge of the quality systems supporting the metal fabrication industry.
• Capable of driving strategies related to the Quality Management System. (QMS)
• Effective communication skills supporting Engel Diversified Industries QMS.
• Capable of one-on-one conversation with our customers and vendors while working through quality concerns that may arise.
• Research, analyze and provide recommendations for materials, equipment, fixtures, tools, tooling, automation, processes, and revisions to plant layout required to manufacture product in the most efficient manner.
• Identifies weaknesses in processes that negatively affect part quality and contributes ideas for corrective action.
• Working with production leads to the corrective action process. Works cooperatively with responsible areas to ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
• Assist Production in troubleshooting activities at the machine/process to solve unforeseen manufacturing challenges.
• Working with Sales and Production to determine and create processes that achieve the customers part print expectations.
• Develop and implement procedures, work instructions, supporting our ISO standards as well as continuous improvement planning.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
• And all other duties as required in this position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS• Five (5) or more years’ experience in metal stamping, fabrication industry.
• Deep understanding of metal stamping and sheet metal fabrication technologies related to the Quality Management System.
• Working knowledge of properties of various ferrous and non-ferrous metals in coil, sheet, tubing, rod and other forms
• Experience with ISO 9001/2015 Standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
• “Hands-on” approach, with passion for continues improvement.
• Excellent communication skills, maintaining effective working relationships.
Physical Demands:The role requires occasional standing, walking, sitting, reaching, lifting up to 40 lbs, and performing tasks such as climbing, kneeling, or crouching. SALARY RANGE
$70k-$90k per year depending on experience
