Project Manager

This role consists of managing fire alarm system new construction projects. This is a highly interactive role with customers, contractors, our clients internal departments, and installation technicians. The responsibilities of this role are understanding, in detail, the project scope, scheduling work orders to installation technicians, managing coordination of complex installation project to completion, and completing objectives as set by management. This role will utilize multiple software programs to file documents and financially review projects.


The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.




  • Set project timeline
  • Monitor project deliverables
  • Update relevant stakeholders or team members on the project progress
  • Coach and support project team members with tasks you assign them
  • Collaborating with engineers, architects and construction personnel
  • Selecting subcontractors if necessary and delegating work
  • Problem-solving to address delays, emergencies or other issues
  • Comply with safety and building codes as well as legal requirements
  • Reporting progress to clients
  • Explaining contract and technical matters in a clear manner
  • Preparing budgets, cost estimates, schedules and timelines



  • Strong business acumen in project planning and management
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service
  • Moderate to high technical familiarity with Engineered fire systems, alarm systems, low voltage electrical system, general fire systems or a combination of all three
  • Ability to multitask, work collaboratively, and succeed in individual goals as set by management
  • Some experience in project management or leading others to accomplish goals
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage variable levels of stress related to job responsibilities
  • Sufficient familiarity with computer operating systems; Our client uses Microsoft office as well as internal operating systems and smart phones
