Maderra Personnel is currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of Civil Engineer to contribute to the successful execution of projects across Newfoundland and Labrador.

Located in St. John's, NL, Maderra provides project management, project services, engineering, technical and personnel services to the Energy, Resource, and Commercial sectors. Responsibilities:

• Provide expert technical guidance and recommendations for road construction based on the analysis of Geotechnical Reports.
• Support in the planning and design of layouts and necessary infrastructure for camp construction, ensuring all considerations align with project requirements and environmental factors.
• Review tender packages prepared by other consultants and contractors;
• Review shop drawings prepared by contractors and vendors;
• Prepare tender packages for contracts;
• Travel to site regularly to provide technical input and field support.

Requirements:

• Graduation from a recognized university with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience
• Membership in the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL) as a professional engineer;
• Experience in developing and managing construction contracts;
• Experience with review of engineering drawings identifying problems and resolutions;
• Proven and demonstrated communication skills;
