Hourly Compensation: $40 – 60 per hour; hourly rate commensurate with experience.

Term: Six months, potential for longer beyond six months term but not guaranteed.

Keys to Job: This is a six-month Sr. Accountant Temporary job. To be considered you must not be gainfully employed, meaning have a direct hire job. BA or BS degree is a must. CPA is a plus but not a must. Public accounting experience with audit experience a big plus. Must have strong Microsoft office suite skills such as Excel. Large company ERP like Oracle, SAP are a big plus. The position has standard Mon - Fri work hours, must be in office this is not a remote or hybrid position.

Job Description
This is a six-month Sr. Accountant Temporary job. BA or BS degree is a must. CPA and or public accounting experience is a plus but not a must. This role as a Sr. Accountant will provide audit support assisting with interim and year-end financial audit procedures, including preparing work papers, reconciling accounts, gathering documentation. The Sr. Accountant will also aid in adapting to the new financial accounting software, potentially assisting with data integrity checks, and troubleshooting related to the system change data/ entries.

Essential Duties
• Internal Auditing: Contribute to yearly independent audits by compiling necessary documentation and addressing questions from auditors.
• Ledger Maintenance and Closing Processes: Uphold the accuracy of ledger accounts, conduct reconciliations for banking activities, and finalize journal entries each month without delay.
• Compliance and Funding Oversight: Handle accounting for grants, ensure adherence to regulations, supervise designated funds, and monitor constraints from contributors along with income allocation.
• Process Enhancements: Evaluate existing controls and suggest optimizations to boost precision in finances and streamline workflows.
• Report Validation: Diligently examine fiscal submissions from the entity's global partners to confirm they are precise, thorough, and submitted on schedule.
• Analysis of Operations: Apply knowledge in fiscal platforms and evaluation techniques to assess and decode intricate dealings correctly. Necessary Credentials
• Background: A minimum of five years in advancing roles within accounting, including at least two years in a not-for-profit context.
• Academic Requirements: Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent discipline; certification like CPA or an advanced degree is advantageous.
• Software Proficiency: Expertise with large ERP system coupled with advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel.
• Additional Competencies: Superior skills in analysis, coordination, and interpersonal communication, plus demonstrated capacity to juggle various tasks in a dynamic setting.
