Job Title: Restaurant Expeditor

Location: Au Gres, MI

Job Overview:

We are looking for an organized and efficient Restaurant Expeditor to join our client's team and facilitate smooth communication between the front-of-house and kitchen staff. The Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are prepared correctly, delivered on time, and meet the restaurant's high standards of quality and presentation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Management:

    • Receive and prioritize orders from servers, ensuring they are communicated accurately and promptly to kitchen staff.
    • Ensure all orders are prepared according to specifications and meet the restaurant’s quality standards.
  • Quality Control:

    • Inspect finished dishes for accuracy, presentation, and quality before they leave the kitchen.
    • Verify that all orders meet restaurant standards for portion size, temperature, and presentation.
  • Communication:

    • Serve as the liaison between the front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure efficient and timely service.
    • Update servers on the status of orders to ensure accurate and timely food delivery to guests.
  • Customer Satisfaction:

    • Handle customer concerns related to their orders or food quality promptly and professionally.
    • Ensure that all customer orders are delivered in a timely manner and meet expectations for quality.
  • Support:

    • Assist kitchen staff and servers with food delivery to tables, ensuring that orders are accurate and presented well.
    • Keep the kitchen organized and ensure all food items are properly stored and handled.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience:

    • Prior restaurant experience, particularly in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, is preferred.
    • Previous experience as an Expeditor, Line Cook, or Server is a plus.
  • Skills & Abilities:

    • Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to work well in a team setting.
    • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices.
  • Other Requirements:

    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    • A positive attitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
