Job Title: Tax Manager
Job Summary:
As a Tax Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our tax strategy. This role involves overseeing tax compliance, tax accounting and SEC reporting, tax planning, and tax audits/controversies, as well as handling special projects. You will collaborate closely with the Global Tax Director and manage relationships with our Tax Services Provider to drive tax initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management: Lead all tax-related matters, including managing the Tax Services Provider to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax returns and compliance tasks.
Tax Compliance: Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns, estimates, and extensions to ensure accuracy and minimize tax liabilities.
Tax Accounting & Reporting: Manage quarterly and annual tax provision calculations, reconcile tax accounts, coordinate foreign tax packages, and prepare taxable income forecasts.
Indirect Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with US and Canada indirect taxes, provide guidance on International VAT, and collaborate with the Shared Services Center on sales/use tax matters.
Month-End Close: Handle month-end close activities including entries and account reconciliations.
R&D Credit Management: Lead the R&D credit process both domestically and internationally.
M&A & Tax Planning: Support mergers and acquisitions, perform due diligence, integration, and tax planning to optimize tax outcomes.
Tax Audits: Represent the company in tax audits, develop strategies, and draft responses to audit requests.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on tax law changes and their implications for the company, ensuring compliance across jurisdictions.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Special Projects: Undertake special projects as assigned, contributing to various strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; M.S. in Accounting or MBA preferred.
Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
Experience: At least 7 years of experience in public accounting or a corporate tax environment, with a strong understanding of federal, state, and international tax concepts.
Skills: Proven ability in tax provision, project management, and process improvement. Strong analytical, communication, and team-building skills are essential.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., ADP, Epicor, D365) and EPM tools (e.g., Hyperion, TM1) preferred.

ADA Requirements (For U.S. Positions):
Physical Demands: Primarily sedentary work with occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds. The role involves sitting, typing, and visual concentration.
Work Environment: Generally comfortable working conditions with standard office equipment. Compliance with company attendance standards is required.
