Are you an experienced sales rep looking for a company with a great reputation, years of stability, and excellent earning potential? Join our client, a family owned business providing custom apparel and promotional products to businesses in the Quad Cities area.
 
This Outside Sales Rep will focus on new account development while also maintaining and growing existing accounts. You'll sell a wide range of customized apparel and branded promotional merchandise. Your corporate accounts will make recurring purchases through a customized webstore that our client provides them.
 
The territory: Quad Cities Area including Davenport, Bettendorf, Rock Island, Moline, and surrounding areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting and cold calling business clients in the field (in person). Any business with 10+ employees is a potential client.
  • Grow and manage a book of existing accounts with ongoing service and upselling.
  • Sell custom-decorated apparel, branded merchandise, and promotional items across a wide range of industries.
  • Partner with the webstore team to develop customized Online Company Stores for your clients so they can shop through pre-selected garments with their company logo and approved designs (the latest technology).
  • Meet regular sales quota and sales activity targets.
  • Maintaining notes in CRM on customers and prospective future customers. Prepare sales activity reports on a regular basis.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of quota-driven B2B hunter (new business development) sales experience
  • Industry experience (custom apparel or promotional products) is a huge plus
  • Must exhibit superior prospecting, presentation, negotiation and closing skills
  • Not afraid to cold call, knock on doors, or pick up the phone to get new leads
  • Know how to keep clients happy and grow long-term relationships
  • Experience with CRM software, such as Salesforce, is preferred
  • Familiar with Quad Cities market
  • Clean driver’s license/MVR
