Overview:

We are in search of a dedicated and experienced Electrical Superintendent to guide our industrial project teams. This role is crucial for ensuring that construction operations are executed safely, on schedule, and within financial constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead all on-site activities, ensuring strict adherence to project plans and specifications. Work closely with regional managers and engineers to develop and maintain comprehensive project timelines.
  • Team Management: Offer strong leadership to a team of over 30 union electricians, promoting development and performance excellence.
  • Safety Assurance: Implement and oversee safety protocols, conduct safety meetings, and ensure compliance with NFPA 70E and LOTO standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality standards, inspect work regularly, resolve construction challenges, and manage cable schedules efficiently.
  • Resource Management: Efficiently coordinate the procurement and use of construction materials and equipment.
  • Financial Oversight: Oversee project budgets, analyze financial reports, and utilize Excel to track and achieve financial targets.
  • Client Communication: Act as the primary contact for clients on-site, providing updates and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Keep detailed and organized records, generate reports, and ensure comprehensive project documentation.
  • Project Estimation: Work with estimators to prepare accurate cost estimates and ensure precise pricing.

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of experience in industrial construction as an Electrical Project Manager or Superintendent.
  • Proven track record of managing a team of over 30 union electricians and delivering projects on time.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for budgeting and documentation.
  • Experience with construction turnovers, cable schedules, and quality control procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E, LOTO programs, and modern construction techniques.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and project scheduling tools.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic construction environment.

Work Environment and Expectations:

  • The position involves work in both office and construction site settings, with varying noise levels and conditions.
  • Flexibility in working hours is required to meet project needs and management directives.
