Hourly, non-exempt with TIME AND A HALF AFTER 40 HOURS WORKED IN A WEEK + bonus potential and excellent 401K!

Stable, well-established, non-automotive manufacturer is seeking a Quality Technician to work within a team of quality professionals and report to a Quality Manager.   Daily you will be responsible for the following quality functions:
  • Complete quality testing in a lab environment 
  • Gather data for testing 
  • Complete non-conformance documentation 
  • Prioritize and re-work work orders 
  • Review production samples 
  • Investigation and inspection of parts 
  • Work with production and engineering to complete requested quality tests 
  • Assist with training 
  • Other duties as directed by management
 
This is a great opportunity to work for a stable manufacturer and continue to develop your quality skills.  Candidates should enjoy taking ownership of projects, able to work in team environments, be professional, willing to perform data entry, able to work under pressure and be able to think on their toes.  Individuals should feel comfortable on the manufacturing floor up to 75% of their day and be able to communicate at all levels.  Benefits include paid overtime, bonus potential, profit sharing, medical (day one of employment), dental, vision, PTO and 401K.  REQUIREMENTS for the Quality Technician:1. Minimum of a high school diploma or GED with at least one year of similar quality technician experience or an Associate's degree2. Experience performing quality technician functions in manufacturing 3. Experience working with measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
4. Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word Skills preferred but NOT required:1. Minitab 2. Steel related industries 
3. 5WHY and/or 8D problem solving tools 
4. ISO environments 
5. ERP experience

Candidates are preferred to be local to the Sandusky, OH area.  There is not a relocation package at this time.
