Job Title: Business Analyst

Position Description
Weris is currently seeking a skilled Business Analyst to provide critical support to our Department of Transportation customer in finance and business operations activities. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in evaluating, recommending, and implementing process improvements to enhance the quality and efficiency of business practices within the transportation sector. This role will require proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, or other analytical reporting software to support various business processes. This is a hybrid role with work performed at least 2 days per week at the customer located in Vienna, VA.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
· Conduct statistical analysis for reports based on proprietary data that either fill compulsory reporting or strategic needs of the client.
· Monitor the reporting system for data completeness & accuracy.
· Research issues and gaps as they arise and work to correct/fill them.
· Liaison between the Agency and Technical Services team for Website/ Learning Management System (LMS)/other technical needs; including creating, tracking and managing work requests to completion.
· Troubleshoot issues with the current and future LMS system.
· Manage Security and Certification reports
· Maintain monthly LMS review archive reporting for periodic Security Audit.
· Produce Annual Report based on statistical analysis.
Qualifications- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
· Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, business statistics, or a related field.
· 3-10 Years experience in a related field.
· Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills with an emphasis on KPI’s including Break-Even & Projection Analysis, ROI & Growth Rate Calculation
· High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL programming particularly with MS SQL Server, and Power BI with DAX language and Power Query Editor to build and maintain strategic dashboards.
· Experience in generating process documentation and reports, including requirements gathering.
· Excellent communication and public speaking skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights.
· Experience in business process evaluation and improvement.
· Strong data storytelling skills — able to communicate findings to non-technical audiences.
· Proficiency in coding languages (JSON, Python, R), Microsoft Office (Access, Word, Visio), and SharePoint a plus.
