Accounting & Finance ManagerEntrepreneurial Start-Up Environment

As Accounting and Finance Manager, support the Controller in overseeing financial operations, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, and facilitating compliance with regulatory standards. Candidate will play a critical role in preparing financial statements, assisting with external audits and tax filings, and developing financial models that support strategic decision-making. Thriving in fast-paced, entrepreneurial settings,  drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across all financial processes.

 

Key Qualifications

     Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree and CPA preferred)

     5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including AP, AR, GL, tax, audit, budgeting, and multi-entity financial reporting under GAAP

     Proficiency with QuickBooks, Concur, and/or Carta (preferred)

     Industry-specific experience and knowledge of multi-state regulations (a plus)

     Strong background in financial modeling, forecasting, and budget development

 

Core Responsibilities

     Lead day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, treasury, and fixed assets

     Manage month-end close and general ledger maintenance

     Assist with budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow projections, and inventory costing

     Evaluate and implement internal controls, financial policies, and process improvements

     Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and accounting standards

     Collaborate with external accounting firms on tax return preparation and audit processes

     Support strategic planning through detailed financial analyses and reporting
